Alletra is the HPE re-branding of Nimble storage, following the acquisition in 2017. At that time, HPE had its MSA (Modular Smart Array) storage positioned for small to medium infrastructure deployments, and 3PAR storage for large enterprise installations. Nimble provided a middle ground with its all-flash and hybrid-flash systems, as well as a predictive analytics and monitoring platform in “InfoSight”.
