The process remains unchanged from previous editions of Windows Server.
Install the ADDS Feature either through server manager or PowerShell.
From Server Manager promote the server to a Domain Controller (DC).
Select options
Select DNS Option
Default Netbios can be accepted
Microsoft Best Practice is to set the NTDS and SYSVOL locations to a hard drive that is not the operating system so change these from the defaults:
Review options & accept
Select install
Once installation is complete, server will restart.
